This year’s Lunacy Parties at Voodoo kick off this 30th. Always and insane time. To start them off this year, they invited Rocky Horror, JeffET, and me for a three man funk, soul, disco, electro, remix-ashup event. These events are always pretty crazy. I’ll post pictures if you don’t show.
I was talking with Birdflu the other day about the latest People Under The Stairs Album “Carried Away.” We got to talking about the limited edition 7″ of the track “Beer” with samples from the Billy Dee Williams Colt 45 commercial in the 80’s. This commercial is so damn smooth! Listen to that background music! I tell you what that is one serious can! Billie Dee has to crack that can three times and every time listen to that sound. No wonder why Billie Dee got all the women. Hit the jump for the Colt 45 Commercial and the People Under The Stairs track.
This just popped up over the weekend. The folks over at Charleston Water Keeper had a change for their upcoming event at the Eye Level Art warehouse. The guys that they had booked for the entertainment, Party On Marz couldn’t make it. (Which kind of sucks because I checked out their site and they seemed like a pretty cool DJ duo. Hopefully, they will make it to the Chuck sometime in the near future.) And because of a recommendation from none other than Marcus Amaker, the folks from Charleston Water Keeper got in touch with me to drop some tunes at their event. The event should be pretty ill! Hit the jump for tickets to the event.
I found this during my daily browsings of the internet. This was done by artist Logan Walters I think the Joker and the Sunglasses one are my favorite.
