The Spaced Invaders are a multimedia turntable crew based out of Charleston, SC. The crew is best known for it’s geek chic style, computer controlled turntables, booming sound sytems, and their massive video screens displaying all their multimedia antics.

The Spaced Invaders formed in the early part of 2008 after DJs Scrunchy Face Flatbroke and Sonar teamed up to do a show for the College of Charleston’s student radio station. The show was a huge success and after a few back and forth emails and phone calls. The Spaced Invaders multimedia turntable crew was formed.

The original idea for the crew was to be nerdy space aliens from a distant galaxy bringing the funk back to earth. However that idea proved difficult to execute after it was found to be difficult to explain to people what a "multimedia turntable crew" was. The idea hasn’t been abandoned by the Spaced Invaders. After all, they are some nerdy characters.
